Within the scope of the working visit to Luhansk region, Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, visited the city of Krasnodon.
V.Lytvyn lay flowers to the monument to the members of Youth Guard and met the residents of the city.
Answering the questions, V.Lytvyn stressed the necessity to preserve historic memory about the events in Krasnodon in the times of the Great Patriotic War. He deems necessary "to preserve and honour memory of the members of Youth Guard at the national level". "I believe that history should be preserved in the form it remains in the memory of our parents", - stated V.Lytvyn.
